SYRACUSE — Firefighters from four departments extinguished a fire at the home of Curtis Smeltzer and his family Wednesday morning. The home is located at 10469 N. Syracuse-Webster Road, Syracuse.

Smeltzer said he received a call about the fire at 9:15 a.m. No one was home at the time of the fire. Firefighters from Syracuse/Turkey-Creek Township, Milford and North Webster had the fire under control by 10:30 a.m. Investigators were called to the scene to determine the cause and origin.
